Job description

Helsinki Partners Oy is a city marketing, investment promotion and talent attraction company owned by the City of Helsinki. Our mission is to promote the city’s sustainable growth and build Helsinki’s global reputation and brand. We do this by attracting international investments, businesses, talent and visitors, and conducting international sales and marketing.

This position is focused on supporting economic growth in Helsinki by attracting international VC funds and LP investments to Helsinki. Your responsibility is to manage and implement sales activities and cooperation with different stakeholders. You are hands-on and have a good understanding of venture investment scene, startup ecosystem and financial sector. You are a fast learner, have a digital mindset and excellent networking skills.

Responsibilities:

• Planning and executing proactive sales activities towards international VC funds and LP investors from lead generation to client work.
• Project management from planning to implementation for specific projects targeted for VC’s and LP’s.
• Coordination, collaboration and networking between different ecosystem players and stakeholders in Finland and abroad.
• Travelling to international events to promote the Finnish venture ecosystem.
• Cooperation with the business intelligence, marketing and communication teams.

Job requirements

The ideal candidate has: 

• 5+ years experience working in startups and/or the venture capital industry, with a strong grasp of venture investment, international business and sales.
• Exceptional project management, sales, networking, communication skills, with fluency in English. Comfortable navigating business environments in Finland and abroad.
• Is a curious, proactive and analytical team player with willingness to travel abroad.
• Has relevant higher education degree.
• Experience in consulting is considered a plus.
